Overview

We are looking for a Full Time Glasgow Life Assistant – Gym Instructor to join our Health & Fitness team.
Location: City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview. Contract: Permanent. Hours: 35 hours per week, full-time with a shift rotation over 7 days, including early starts, evenings and weekends between 5:30am and 10:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of fitness programmes and activities to suit all members and support the members\’ fitness journey.
- Promote health and fitness at local and citywide events.
- Gather gym user information and oversee safety and behaviour of customers to prevent injury, misuse and damage to facilities and equipment.
- Follow industry and government guidelines and protocols to provide a safe environment; assist with preparation and cleaning of the facility and maintenance of equipment.
- Be flexible and adaptable to change and assist in delivering new activities to support Glasgow Club’s customer experience.

Who you are
We\’re looking for someone with energy and the right skills. If the following sounds like you, apply today:
- Level 2/3 Health and Fitness Qualification in Gym, Exercise and Fitness Knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills to engage and motivate members
- Fitness Coaching qualifications in group fitness activities or the flexibility to learn new skills
- Ability to work confidently with fitness programming software such as My Wellness
- Previous gym experience
