Glasgow Life is looking for Customer Service Assistants to join us on a part time, staff bank (permanent contract) basis. In this role you will be joining our in-demand Glasgow Life’s Cultural Venues team assisting in the successful delivery of a range of events across Glasgow Life’s flagship venues.
As a Customer Service Assistant, you will:
– provide information and assistance and the highest standard of customer care and service to all customers at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, The City Halls & the Old Fruitmarket, Tramway, and The Kelvingrove Bandstand as well as any other venue being used by Glasgow Life for events.
– carry out duties in positions throughout the venues, including but not limited to: cloakroom; scanning tickets; ushering; gallery invigilation, providing information on events and facilities; distributing and removing leaflets, clearing surface litter and rubbish from the venues before and after an event.
– handle cash/card payments when positioned in the Cloakroom
– be familiar with, and proactive in attaining information on forthcoming events, venue layout/plan and the Company’s regular operating procedures, in order to provide accurate guidance to customers at all times.
– assume responsibility for the health and safety of members of the public using our venues at all times, and in particular when an emergency situation arises.
– to provide a welcoming environment to all visitors to the venue. To uphold the highest standard of customer service; To deal effectively with any customer enquiries and complaints.
-maintaining an inclusive and access friendly environment to assist any customers with accessible requirements.
– when qualified and scheduled to do so, to carry out First Aid duties as required, in addition to the regular duties of a Customer Service Assistant.

The role
As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of the team by providing care to all customers that visit Glasgow Life Cultural Venues. Reporting to our venues Assistant Venue Managers and working alongside the Staff Bank CSA team.

Our city-wide contracts mean you will be flexible to work in any of our locations (The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, City Halls and Old Fruitmarket, Tramway and The Kelvingrove Bandstand).
This role is working is bank staff position in which you can offer availability which suits your work life balance.
