Job Description

Glasgow Life is looking for Adult Learning Tutors (Digital) to join us on a full time, permanent contract. As an Adult Learning Tutor, you will be joining our in-demand Digital Learning Tutor team. You will be part of a dedicated team that supports delivery of a range of digital skills provision for inclusion and employability.

As an Adult Learning Tutor, you\’ll be part of Glasgow Life\’s Libraries and Communities service. This service includes Glasgow\’s 32 community libraries, the Mitchell Library, school libraries, community facilities, and services covering early years, children and families, adult learning, inclusion and employability, wellbeing, youth and community development. Our libraries provide cultural and creative spaces for all ages and serve as key access points for the digitally excluded, offering vital support through learning and digital inclusion programmes.

The role
As an Adult Learning Tutor, you\’ll be an integral part of the Digital Learning Tutor team, providing direct delivery and development of digital skills provision. You will report to the Inclusion and Employability team\’s Libraries and Communities Project Coordinator (Project Manager for the Glasgow Code Learning digital skills programme) and work alongside established teams.

The candidate

ICDL qualification or equivalent
Tutor qualification or equivalent level of tutoring experience
Experience in planning and developing high quality training
Demonstrable ability to influence and motivate people
A positive and proactive attitude.

Working arrangements
Our city-wide contracts mean you will need to be flexible to work in any of our Glasgow Life locations. This post includes an expectation to work one Saturday in every four as part of a staff rota supporting digital learning sessions.

Some roles currently offer hybrid working, with agreed days in office and home to balance collaboration and focus.

This position requires a Basic Disclosure. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their Disclosure.
