We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our team. This role involves the delivery of SQA-accredited units as well as the assessment of SVQ Level 2 and SVQ Level 3 learners within the electrical discipline.

About the Role

  • Deliver engaging and industry-relevant teaching sessions aligned to SQA requirements.
  • Assess SVQ2 and SVQ3 candidates in the workplace and support them throughout their qualification journey.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure high-quality learning experiences.
  • Maintain accurate assessment records in line with awarding body standards.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum qualification at SCQF Level 7 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Time-served status as an Electrical Engineer or Approved Electrician.
  • Strong industry knowledge and an understanding of current electrical practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Assessing and/or internal verification qualifications (e.g., L&D9DI, L&D11).
  • Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE).
  • Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring apprentices.
