Join Our Innovative Faculty of Future Technologies and Design. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Carpentry and Joinery team to deliver courses in Joinery. This exciting role involves a blend of hands‑on workshop instruction and engaging classroom delivery to a diverse student body at various levels.
We are interested in candidates who have knowledge, experience and flexibility to deliver high quality teaching within the following curriculum areas:
- SVQ Carpentry and Joinery
- PDA Carpentry and Joinery
- NPA Construction
- NQ Construction
- Construction Subjects - General
What You’ll Do:
- Inspire and Educate: Delivery of high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment materials, and by supporting our learners, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
- Develop Curriculum: Create and implement lesson plans and curriculum materials that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field and integrate relevant updates into your teaching practices.
- Maintain Excellence: Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with external bodies and college policies.
Who We’re Looking For:
- It is essential that you have obtained qualifications at SCQF Level 8 or have a relevant professional equivalent in the carpentry and joinery industry.
- Individuals with a dynamic attitude and a passion for teaching, including those without previous teaching experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, working on one's own initiative, and relating well to different student groups.
- With excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure, candidates must have a flexible and can‑do attitude to work.
Any offer of employment will be subject to receiving a satisfactory Scheme Record through the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme. All successful applicants will be required to have a TQFE or equivalent and be GTCS registered within 5 years of start date.
Closing date: Wednesday, 1st July 2026. Location: Anniesland Campus. You may be required to travel and work within all Glasgow Clyde campuses.
