Join Our Innovative Faculty of Future Technologies and Design. The faculty is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Avionics Lecturer to join our academic team. Our renowned faculty is celebrated for its exceptional teaching, student experience, and learning opportunities. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our aircraft engineering department and deliver cutting-edge courses in avionics. This role blends hands-on workshop instruction with engaging classroom delivery to a diverse student body at various levels.
Responsibilities
- Inspire and Educate: Delivery of high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment materials, and by supporting learners; fostering a stimulating learning environment
- Develop Curriculum: Create and implement lesson plans and curriculum materials that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field and integrate relevant updates into teaching practices
- Maintain Excellence: Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with external bodies and college policies
Qualifications
- Essential qualification of SCQF Level 8 or relevant professional equivalent in the avionics industry, or willingness to work towards this level
- Dynamic attitude and passion for teaching; including those without previous teaching experience, although previous experience delivering UK CAA Part 66 B2 and Cat B common modules would be welcomed
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work on own initiative, and relate well to different student groups
- Excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to work under pressure with a flexible, can-do attitude
