Adult and Youth Worker

35 hours per week (fixed term until July 2026)
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to lead our highly successful King’s Trust Team Programme within the Faculty of Arts and Continuing Education. As an Adult & Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in Glasgow who face barriers to education.
This rewarding position involves:
- Recruiting, managing, and supporting a team of young people aged 16–25
- Delivering and developing the King’s Trust Team Programme, which runs throughout the year
- Ensuring participants benefit from a high‑quality learning experience
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
- Strong knowledge of the local community, voluntary organisations, and support agencies
- A passion for empowering young people and helping them reach their potential
Team Leader training will be provided if required, though prior qualification as a Team Leader is highly preferred.
Applicants will be effective communicators with proven leadership skills. You will be computer literate with excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work alone and on your own initiative. Experience of supporting vulnerable groups is essential, as is a qualification at HNC level/SCQF level 7 in an appropriate subject area or relevant skills and experience in an appropriate discipline.
