We are looking for a friendly and committed Adult and Youth Worker to join our Access to Education team, supporting the EVIP programme. You will be passionate about working with disadvantaged young people, using a nurturing, trauma-informed approach to build trust and confidence.

Working alongside staff in Sport, Beauty, Construction and ESOL, you will help learners re-engage, overcome barriers, and progress positively into education, training, or employment.

As an Adult and Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people in Glasgow who face barriers to education.

This rewarding position involves:

  • Recruiting, managing, and supporting a group of young people aged 16–25

  • Ensuring participants benefit from a high-quality learning experience

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

  • A passion for empowering young people and helping them reach their potential

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while contributing to a programme with proven impact. Team Leader training will be provided if required, though prior qualification as a Team Leader is highly preferred.

Applicants will be effective communicators with proven leadership skills. You will be computer literate, with excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach, and the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

Experience of supporting vulnerable groups is essential, as is a qualification at HNC level/SCQF Level 7 in an appropriate subject area, or relevant skills and experience in a related discipline.

Any offer of employment will be subject to receiving a satisfactory Scheme Record through the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Salary: £35,809 per annum
