Join Our Home Care Team in Glasgow North (Part Time Posts)

Role: Home Carer

Location: Glasgow North Localities

Pay: £14.20 – £15.57 per hour (depending on shift pattern)

Hours: Various part time shifts available – this will be discussed in more detail at interview. Public Holiday working is required.

Are you based in the North of Glasgow and ready to make a real difference in your community? Join Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP) as a Home Carer – a local role supporting local people. As a Home Carer, you’ll help older and vulnerable residents live independently at home.

Your role includes:

  • Personal care (washing, dressing, bathing, shaving)
  • Meal prep (including meat and pork dishes using ovens, microwaves, air fryers)
  • Medication support
  • Using specialist moving & handling equipment

No Experience? No Problem! We offer a comprehensive 10-day induction:

  • 8 days of training at our learning hub in Glasgow City Centre
  • 2 days shadowing other experienced carers

Please note – you must be able to complete the 10 day induction which runs full-time: Mon–Fri, 9am–4pm.

What You’ll Need:

  • Compassion and a desire to help others
  • Willingness to gain an SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (we’ll support and fund this)
  • SSSC registration (must apply within 2 weeks and be registered within 3 months of employment, we’ll cover the cost)
  • PVG Scheme membership (you’ll cover the cost)

You may be required to travel across the Glasgow North area depending on service needs.

Interviews will take place 2nd & 3rd December 2025.

These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
