Provide core technical support within Design and Technology department and also to work flexibly throughout the school within all technician disciplines.
Responsible for whole school technical support within Design and Technology, Science and Digital Technology with due regard for Health and Safety.
Ensure most efficient range of support services are provided efficiently and in an organised manner. Please note this post is predominantly required to support practical work within the school Design and Technology department. e.g. Woodworking/Metalwork/Design and Manufacture. Appropriate qualifications and experience would therefore include mechanical engineering, joinery/woodworking, metal working, mechanical maintenance etc. Please Note this post is 41 weeks Term Time.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.

Glasgow City Council is completing a Job Evaluation exercise and introducing a new Pay and Grading Structure from 4 April 2027. This post has not yet been evaluated under the new arrangements and, as a result, the core salary may change in the future.
