Personal Assistants

Brian is a cheerful and determined man who values his independence and is looking for 2x personal assistants (PAs) to help live life to the fullest. Brian is very well travelled, with a passion about politics and disability rights and issues. He enjoys being out in the community and engaging in his drama group with a particular focus on disability rights. Brian also enjoys football, reading and listening to music and watching TV in his downtime.

This role is based in Knightswood, so it’s important you can travel to and from the area reliably. This role is 42 hours per week split between 2x PAs at £12.60 per hour with flexibility depending on Brian’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support with personal care, including assistance with the ceiling hoist and support with showering and dressing.
  • Meal preparation, light housework and collecting his paper from the local shop.

About you / Qualifications

  • Positive, punctual and reliable person with a good sense of humour.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Becker Muscular Dystrophy is helpful but not essential.
  • Hoist training and moving and handling training are preferred but not essential; training will be provided to successful candidates where required.
  • Ability to travel to Knightswood reliably.
