Reporting into the UK and Ireland Recruitment manager, the role holder will provide effective and efficient support to the work of the Student Recruitment Team in delivering high quality information and advice to prospective GCU applicants and additional stakeholders. This will include supporting outreach activity, liaising with key stakeholders and attending recruitment fairs.
The post holder will act as an initial point of contact for staff across the University in relation to the services and activity of the Recruitment team\βs recruitment activity. They will support the delivery of student engagement and recruitment activities by offering advice and guidance to prospective students by facilitating mainly UK recruitment events. They will be responsible for the outreach to new schools and colleges and for the coordination of school and event bookings, through maintaining the team mailboxes, social media platforms of choice and activity calendars. They will help in the collection and maintenance of recruitment data and in the provision of reports and analysis and will help to maintain the team\βs webpages.
The successful candidate will be educated to HNC level or equivalent relevant experience, and ideally be able to demonstrate an understanding of HE. They will be articulate with the ability to plan and manage their own workload within deadlines, and a confident public speaker in delivering presentations. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly word and excel, as well as basic report writing skills are essential. They will be a team-player, confident and customer-focused willing to undertake travel with the flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
