The Directorate of School Professional Services is looking to appoint a Programme Co-ordinator to provide administrative support associated with the University\’s programmes, playing a central role in the enhancement of programmes and the delivery of an excellent student experience.

The role holder will be a core member of the School of Health and Life Sciences programme team working proactively and in close contact with Programme Leaders for effective management and enhancement of the student experience, providing expertise, knowledge and assisting in programme monitoring and the production of student data to meet quality assurance standards. The role holder will also provide a flexible and professional support service in the student journey from enquiry through to Alumni.

The successful candidate should be educated to HND level or have equivalent relevant experience. The role is varied and will require the following:

  • Demonstrable relevant administrative experience
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise conflicting workloads.
  • Evidence of working collaboratively as part of a team as well as the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Experience of clerking meetings
  • Evidence of identifying opportunities for improvement and developing and implementing best practice.
  • Proficient in MS Office packages, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

A working knowledge of Further/Higher Education, including the use of a student records system and experience of working in a student facing role is desirable.
