The Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS), within the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk (FAR), is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Risk (Analytics).
The successful candidate will join a close-knit team, teaching and managing modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, taking on module leadership as appropriate, and developing the curriculum to ensure academic rigor and relevance, informed by current research.
We welcome applications from individuals who will enhance our reputation in Risk (Analytics). Candidates should hold a Masters and/or BA (Hons) in Risk or a relevant business-related degree, with prior experience in supporting student learning, teaching, and assessment in higher education. Responsibilities include developing and delivering modules, supervising students, and enhancing the student experience across programs.
Expertise in applying data analytics for risk identification, assessment, and mitigation is essential. The candidate should be skilled in integrating data-driven methods within risk management frameworks to support strategic decision-making, using statistical, machine learning, and diagnostic tools to improve resilience, compliance, and performance in various organizational contexts.
The department values innovation in teaching and learning, and experience with e-learning and online environments is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining current curricula and engaging in ongoing development to ensure academic excellence.
A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is preferred.
