Position Details

We are offering an excellent opportunity to be part of this and join our expanding Building Standards & Public Safety team as a Team Manager in the next step in your career. We are looking for an experienced Building Standards professional that brings a strong sense of customer service, excellent communication and leadership skills, a clear understanding of quality assurance and an appetite for delivery of development and continuous improvement.

The post is located within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability and reports to a Group Manager for Building Standards & Public Safety. In this role you will be responsible for providing authoritative and professional guidance and the day-to-day management of a team of professional Building Standards staff to support the delivery of a high-quality Building Standards service to meet verifier appointment criteria, statutory duties, NRS service targets and wider Council objectives.

Full membership of a construction related professional institute such as MRICS, MCIOB, MBENG or equivalent is an essential requirement for this role. A Qualification in a relevant construction related subject is desirable.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 35 per week
Work Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Annual Salary: £53,515.12 - £62,125.73 on an incremental scale. This will increase by 3.5% from 1st April 2026.
