We have an exciting opportunity at AGS Airport for a Marketing Manager to join our Commercial Team. This is a 12 month fixed term, Maternity Cover position and the role will be based at Glasgow Airport.
The Marketing Manager is a key role responsible for developing, managing and delivering marketing activity across Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports. The role oversees airline marketing, airport commercial marketing, social media and digital activity, in addition to performance reporting. It requires a strategic thinker who can also manage day to day activity across multiple projects, ensuring all campaigns enhance the airport brands and contribute to passenger growth and commercial performance.
Acting as the primary marketing contact for airline partners and commercial stakeholders, the Marketing Manager will create impactful campaigns, manage in terminal activations and coordinate events across the airport group. This position plays a vital role in supporting brand engagement, improving passenger experience, and delivering measurable marketing outcomes.
- Airline Marketing:
- Build and manage strong day‐to‐day relationships with airline partners, acting as the key marketing contact.
- Plan, develop and deliver joint airline and route marketing campaigns across on- and offline channels.
- Organise and manage route launches, passenger activations, media opportunities and airline-led events.
- Collaborate with airlines on trade marketing, influencer partnerships and promotional activity.
- Airport Marketing:
- Develop and manage commercial marketing campaigns to drive revenue from retail, F&B, duty‐free, parking and lounges.
- Create and implement campaigns that support airport brand and passenger experience objectives.
- Oversee in-terminal marketing including signage, digital screens and experiential activations.
- Manage brand activations, airport events and experiential marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, F&B operators and other commercial partners.
- Coordinate external partnerships, sponsorships and promotional activity.
- Social Media & Digital:
- Implement the social media strategy in line with marketing and commercial objectives, working with the social media agency to manage content calendars, creative production and platform optimisation.
- Create, curate and approve high‐quality digital content, including posts, video, stories and reels.
- Manage influencer collaborations and support user‐generated content outreach.
- Monitor channel performance and KPIs, delivering regular reporting and improvement recommendations.
- Collaborate with digital and CRM teams to integrate channels and maximise campaign impact.
- Reporting & Performance:
- Manage marketing budgets and track campaign performance to ensure strong ROI.
- Provide reporting, insights and analysis to support strategic planning and campaign optimisation.
- Evaluate effectiveness of all marketing activity, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a multi‐channel marketing role, ideally with both digital and traditional campaign management exposure.
- Strong communication, relationship‐building and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‐paced environment.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to work autonomously with good attention to detail.
- Experience working with agencies (creative, media, digital or social).
- Understanding of consumer behaviour, brand marketing and digital trends.
- Travel, aviation or retail marketing experience advantageous but not essential.
