Job Summary: As Security Manager, you will support the operational planning and delivery of security across multiple Games venues and locations, helping ensure security operations are well coordinated, compliant and fully integrated into venue and Games planning. The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of venue security plans, risk assessments, procedures and contingency arrangements, ensuring appropriate and proportionate measures are in place to protect people, assets and infrastructure. Working closely with contracted security providers and partners, this position will help coordinate contractor mobilisation, readiness and performance monitoring, ensuring services are delivered in line with Games requirements and operational standards. Collaboration with venue teams, internal functional areas and external stakeholders will be essential to ensure security arrangements align seamlessly with wider Games operations, including accreditation, transport, workforce and venue management. Operational readiness will form a key part of the role, including supporting planning reviews, rehearsals and exercises, and contributing to Games-time delivery through incident reporting, escalation and response coordination.

You will have experience working with security contractors or service providers and be confident coordinating operational activity across multiple stakeholders and environments. Strong organisational and coordination skills are essential, along with excellent communication and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, delivery partners and external agencies such as Police Scotland and emergency services. You will be proactive, reliable and solutions-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Experience working on major sporting events, festivals or international events would be highly advantageous, as would experience supporting venue security planning, operational readiness or contractor coordination.
