The Role
We have a unique and exciting opportunity available to join the team as a PR and Media Manager! This role will place you at the heart of the action, working alongside experts to deliver a global event that sets the new standard for major sporting celebrations. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to creating a world-class Games.
The PR and Media Manager will play a key role in delivering an integrated communications and media strategy to support Glasgow 2026. Reporting to the Head of Media & Communications, the postholder will be responsible for proactively engaging the media, public, and key stakeholders through creative, insight-driven PR and storytelling. The role will focus on developing and executing media campaigns that generate excitement for Glasgow 2026, ensuring maximum positive coverage across local, national, and international media. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of the media landscape, a flair for creative content development, and the ability to work at pace in a dynamic environment.

Job Summary:
As PR and Media Manager, you will be required to develop and implement integrated PR and media strategies that align with Glasgow 2026’s strategic objectives. You will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, broadcasters, influencers, and media outlets at local, national, and international levels. You will work closely with the marketing and content teams to align media messaging with wider brand and engagement strategies. You will also act as a key point of contact for external PR agencies and event suppliers, ensuring the high-quality delivery of outsourced projects.

We are looking for a PR and Media Manager who has proven PR and media relations experience in the sporting or a large-scale events sector. The successful candidate will have a track record of securing impactful media coverage.
