The Role

We have an opportunity for a Workforce Manager to join our Games Services and Workforce team, and support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of workforce operations for Glasgow 2026. This is an integral role in ensuring effective workforce planning and operational readiness, contributing to an exceptional experience for participants, spectators, workforce, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Workforce Manager, the Workforce Manager will play a key role in the implementation of the volunteering programme and workforce planning across the Organising Company (OC), Event Delivery Partners and key Games-wide suppliers. The postholder will also lead a team responsible for delivering the operational requirements of the uniform and workforce training workstreams.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a world-class event, working with passionate professionals and visionary leaders who are committed to showcasing Glasgow on the international stage as well as delivering an event of excellence to athletes and the local community.

Key Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in the planning and delivery of workforce management for a multi-discipline or multi-venue major global sporting event. You will be familiar working with Workforce Games Management Systems and/or Volunteer Application Systems and processes, demonstrating strong operational planning, reporting and data analytical skills.

Proven knowledge and experience using computer software programmes including the Microsoft packages, project management programs and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external partners is essential.
