Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 16:30pm, 30-minute lunch break

About The Role: The purpose of the role is to produce high quality products for customer orders, ready for dispatch.

Key Tasks:

  • The assembly of various (modular) Buildings, Housing and Shelter systems as well as a small range of recycling containers.
  • Use of a variety of hand tools, equipment and associated jigs safely and effectively.
  • Packing and labelling of goods in line with dispatch and customer requirements.
  • Movement of stock and finished goods to support assembly operations and distribution.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment in line with 5S standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety procedures and Company policies at all times.

Key Objectives:

  • Ongoing familiarisation with the various products and systems being assembled.
  • Maintain a high level of precision and quality in assembly work in line with Company standards.
  • Adopt safe systems of work, including the correct use of PPE at all times.
  • Achieve pre-determined productivity targets and deadlines.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Practically minded and confident.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as a part of a small team.
  • Ability to interpret sub-assembly drawings and related documentation.
  • Competent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Basic knowledge of IT.

Desirable:

  • Previous joinery and/or product assembly experience.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical installations.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional On-Site Assembly (OSA) work.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS Card Holder (preferable).
