We are expanding our surveying team and are seeking Utility Surveyors of all grades, from those early in their career to highly experienced senior professionals. If you are motivated, technically capable, and committed to delivering high‑quality survey outputs, we want to hear from you.

Position: Surveyor (Utilities) – Bodmin. Permanent, full‑time. Competitive salary + company benefits.

You will be responsible for the collection, processing, and delivery of high‑quality utility survey data across a range of project types. Working both independently and as part of a wider team, you will play a key role in producing accurate, reliable deliverables for our clients. At all levels you will be involved in contributing to discussions about, and practical development of, our systems and workflows. More senior roles will be exposed to, and expected to deliver, project lead responsibilities, including client liaison, planning, and meeting time and quality targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in GPR data collection
  • Proven experience in GPR data processing
  • Strong understanding of EML utility mapping techniques
  • Experience in land survey techniques, including use of total stations and GNSS for detail collection
  • Competent AutoCAD user
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to manage workload and deliver completed outputs to a high standard

Beneficial (Not Essential)

  • Knowledge of PAS128 QCF utility mapping qualification
  • Experience using IQ Maps and/or Geolitix
  • Familiarity with IDS and Proceq GPR systems
  • Experience in other measured survey disciplines
  • Experience with Trimble hardware and software
  • Experience using N4CE
