We’re looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Jet Vac Operative to join our growing drainage team based in Highbridge. You’ll be operating specialist Class 2 HGV jetting vehicles to clean and maintain sewer systems, culverts, and outfalls across the Southwest. This hands-on, mobile role is perfect for those who enjoy practical work, working outdoors, and delivering essential environmental services.
Responsibilities- Safely operate Class 2 HGV Jet Vac units on highways and client sites
- Use high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear drains and sewers
- Inspect, identify and resolve drainage blockages
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance tasks
- Support emergency and reactive works as part of a 24/7 response service
- Maintain accurate job records and follow company safety protocols
- Work flexibly and independently across a range of sites and conditions
- Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2)
- Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph
- A safety-first mindset and good attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to work in all weathers
- Flexible to work overtime and take part in a call-out rota
- Comfortable working in and around wastewater environments
- CSCS Card
- High-Pressure Water Jetting Certificate
- Confined Space Entry (Medium or High Risk)
- Streetworks (NRSWA) qualification
- Experience in drainage, utilities or highways
