As we continue to expand our impressive portfolio of clients and secure long‑term contracts, we are seeking talented individuals to join our passionate team.
Due to ongoing successful contracts and as we continue to expand, we’re seeking a dynamic and proactive Project Manager to assist delivery of our fast‑paced civils projects as part of the planned civils delivery team. Working from our Exeter based depot, successful candidates will play a key role organising and managing the delivery of planned wastewater/cleanwater infrastructure projects across the southwest, primarily in the East Cornwall/North Devon region, as well as other civils projects across key clients.
As a Project Manager you’ll oversee day‑to‑day management of projects, ensuring quality delivery and cost‑effective solutions whilst ensuring high standards of Health & Safety and engineering control. Reporting into the Head of Delivery, you’ll also manage direct labour/supply chain partners, coordinate logistics, and ensure all works meet safety and compliance standards.

- Co‑ordinate and manage the safe and effective delivery of multiple civils/utilities sites
- Manage the project programme ensuring key project milestones are achieved
- Work closely with the commercial team to monitor project expenses, ensuring that projects stay within budget and have input into financial forecasts
- Contribute technical expertise to the Pre‑construction team with site visits to collect information to assist design, planning and tenders
- Assist in project planning, including coordination with Highways, Public authorities and Statutory Bodies plus resource allocation and materials management.
- Attend client meetings and report project progress to senior managers and stakeholders.
- Have a strong knowledge of H&S requirements through project delivery including being able to ensure compliance with PUWER, LOLER, compiling RAMS, Temporary works selection & CDM documentation preparation.
- Maintain and update site records, ensuring detailed and accurate reports and documentation are completed.
- Conduct regular site inspections & audits.
- Ensure prompt and timely responses project KPI’s/SLA’s & maintain strong communication with clients to provide updates and resolve issues promptly.
- Use of computer software (predominantly Microsoft Office) to produce site documentation, close down documents, workflow productivity reports and general work management monitoring systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Project Management within wastewater/cleanwater infrastructure (preference), utilities, or construction
- Technical knowledge of industry standards, civil engineering principles and relevant legal regulations
- Knowledge of NEC4 contract
- Strong organisational and leadership skills for managing multiple teams and tasks effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment and address issues or delays in the construction process.
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
- Relevant qualifications (not limited to) – Construction related Qualification ie ONC/HNC/NVQ/Degree, CSCS Gold Card or above, SMSTS, Streetworks Supervisor, Confined space, Temporary Works Supervisor/Co‑ordinator, Deep Excavations, Cat & Genny
- Relevant experience in the wastewater/utility industry is key, however outstanding candidates with a broad Civils background will be considered, and the business will support individuals with personal development and career progression opportunities.
