Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of a “one team” culture. Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on‑site. Be familiar with the HSQE management system and procedures in conjunction with the current statutory requirements.
Manage the delivery of the EICA scope on assigned projects, including design, procurement, installation supervision, commissioning and handover. Develop the project scope into relevant design, construction and commissioning packages. Prepare or review procurement of packages such as MCC/control panels, automation hardware/software, starters, electrical installation works, LV/HV works and lightning protection as required.
Communicate technical solutions to clients and colleagues, and actively participate in design discussions, technical workshops and safety reviews. Conduct periodic site visits to check installation quality, ensure compliance with required electrical standards and Glanua specifications. Monitor progress through design or onsite to ensure delivery in line with the works programme, adjusting workflow and progress as necessary to meet the completion date.
Understand programme and budget implications, ensuring that any overruns are managed proactively. Deliver the project in line with quality procedures, completing mandatory factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), inspection and test records (ITRs) and commissioning as per the quality plan. Submit mandatory handover files, including As‑Built drawings and control‑panel drawing schematics post‑commissioning, incorporating any changes made during installation. Ensure design, materials and workmanship meet specified requirements.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, site staff, commercial resources and the general site team. Maintain day‑to‑day interaction with employer representatives, stakeholders and the wider project team. Keep up‑to‑date with the latest standards and technology through continuous professional development (CPD). Show an eagerness to learn, progress in personal career development and mentor or train junior staff. Perform other duties as required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a regulated utility sector.
- Must hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or ICA Engineering with Incorporated Engineer status.

- Mandatory qualification: Level 7 (including Diploma or Ordinary Bachelor Degree)
