This is a key leadership role within Glanua’s growing UK water business, leading delivery of a major AMP8 programme for United Utilities. You will oversee a portfolio of complex treatment schemes including PFAS and taste & odour projects, ensuring successful delivery against regulatory, environmental and commercial targets. You will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering full lifecycle solutions—from concept and design through construction, commissioning and handover—while supporting programme growth and strengthening Glanua’s position as a trusted delivery partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safe, high-quality delivery of the AMP8 Water Programme
- Ensure projects meet regulatory and environmental performance requirements
- Manage programme performance across cost, schedule, margin and cashflow
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with United Utilities
- Drive programme growth and secure additional framework opportunities
- Lead and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team
- Manage and develop key supply chain partners
- Champion innovation, modern construction methods, and sustainable solutions
- Support development of new delivery systems, processes, and best practice
Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience delivering water treatment projects in the UK
- Proven programme or major project leadership experience (£15m+ schemes)
- Strong commercial, contractual and risk management capability
- Experience delivering works on live treatment sites
- Strong stakeholder engagement with clients and design organisations
- Broad understanding across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
- Experience with advanced treatment processes (e.g. ozone, GAC, chemical dosing)
- Relevant project management accreditation (AMP practitioner or equivalent)
