Main responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Project Manager
  • Management of subcontracts and junior staff
  • Interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications and technical information
  • Set out site works
  • Carry out levelling and surveying activities
  • Provide accurate dimensions, coordinates and elevations to the site team as required
  • Procurement of goods and services
  • Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports
  • Quality control
  • Management of environmental, health and safety issues
  • Document control, recording & transmitting information & drawings
  • Preparation of construction records and as-built drawings
  • Attending site production meetings
  • Liaising with clients, statutory bodies and stakeholders
  • Ensure work and materials conform to contract specifications and quality standards
  • Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental regulations on site
  • Maintain quality control, raise non-conformance reports (NCRs), and produce QA documentation aligned with inspection and test plans (ITPs)
  • Resolve technical queries swiftly and escalate issues that may impact progress or compliance
  • Maintain an accurate site diary, including details on daily activities, progress, resources, and any incidents
  • Produce regular site reports, QA documentation, and inspection records

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Project Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering or construction works, water or wastewater experience desirable but not essential.
