Are you an experienced and passionate Registered Manager ready to lead an exciting new children’s home from the ground up? We are seeking a dynamic leader to establish and develop Bradbury House, a specialist residential service supporting children with learning disabilities.

About the Role

As Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in launching and shaping a brand-new provision. From leading the Ofsted registration process to building a high-performing team and creating a nurturing, child-centred environment, you will have full ownership of the home’s development and success. This is a unique opportunity to grow a service from its initial opening (2 children) into a larger provision, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and outcomes throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the set-up, registration, and ongoing compliance with Ofsted
  • Develop and embed a strong culture, ethos, and operational framework
  • Oversee the phased growth of the home in a safe and structured way
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a skilled and committed staff team
  • Build a clear management structure, including Deputy Managers
  • Deliver high-quality, specialist care for children with learning disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with the on-site school and Headteacher
  • Take responsibility as Designated Safeguarding Lead
  • Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • Strong background supporting children with learning disabilities (essential)
  • Experience with Ofsted registration and inspections
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000+ with performance-related bonuses
  • 40 hours per week contract
  • Generous annual leave: 35 days (including bank holidays)
  • On-call allowance: £20 per day
