The Opportunity

To maximise brand visibility and conversion at point of sale, driving consistent premium brand credentials across the region to support rate of sale and market share gains. A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Shopper Manager, Continental Europe in Dublin, Ireland or London, UK, on a permanent basis.

  • Drive brand visibility & conversion to purchase
  • Develop and implement a shopper marketing strategy that will maximise Optimum Nutrition’s stand out in retail, both online and offline
  • Support conversion to purchase through educational content at point of sale and bringing category shopper-based-design principles to life, collaborating closely with Senior Category Manager
  • Collaborate with sales teams to align shopper marketing initiatives with commercial priorities
  • Partnership with E-Commerce COE on Retail Media initiatives, opportunities and execution
  • Develop regional best practice framework and drive consistency
  • Create and roll out frameworks, toolkits, and guidelines to drive best-in-class shopper marketing across markets – both for ongoing shopper activations and for innovation or campaign-specific activations
  • Drive quality of local market activations, ensuring consistent brand execution across physical and digital retail touchpoints, in keeping with brand guidelines
  • Provide consultancy support for local teams developing shopper marketing plans to support specific retailers (eg. Decathlon) or campaigns (eg. Optimum Advantage), bringing an omni-channel lens and digital first thinking to represent the consumer
  • Develop and embed measurement framework to capture learnings
  • Share insights and learnings across the region to elevate execution standards region-wide
  • Train and develop local teams to deliver best in class shopper and maximise return on spend
  • Drive economies of scale and pan-regional efficiencies
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate requirements across regions to drive cost efficiency
  • Identify and agree agency partnerships to support shopper marketing needs across the region, with the support of procurement and local market trade marketing
  • Manage budget to maximise return on investment

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Experience: 8+ years in shopper marketing, or trade marketing within FMCG or sports nutrition
  • Proven ability to manage multi-country projects and deliver consistent brand execution
  • Strong understanding of retail environments and shopper behaviour, including European retail landscapes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Budget management and agency leadership experience
  • Languages: Fluent English required. Additional languages desirable (French, Dutch, Spanish and/or Italian as priority)
