The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the management of warehouse and distribution activity across the UK and EU as part of the logistics business unit. This is a permanent, full time position reporting to the Warehousing and Distribution Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of 3PL performance, including tracking SLAs, KPIs and reporting.
  • Support the planning and management of UK export shipments, EU import shipments and intra-European movements.
  • Support the roll-out of supply chain projects – business and process change, efficiency improvements and improved ways of working across Glanbia and 3PL sites (inc. B2B, D2C, DSD).
  • Support financial and procurement projects within the logistics team.
  • Support the financial elements of the logistics function including invoice and purchase order management, financial tracking and reporting and rolling out cost saving initiatives.
  • Manage the day-to-day logistics operations – being the go-to person for all things warehousing and distribution within the logistics team.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Background in Transport/supply chain/logistics.
  • General all round Logistics experience.
  • Excellent communication skills – with an ability to adapt to audience where appropriate.
  • Organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills, with an ability to work with multiple spreadsheets.
  • Results-orientated problem solver.
  • Keen “improvement” / efficiency mind-set.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be able to adapt to last minute changes to workload and ways of working.
  • Not afraid to challenge the status-quo.
  • Financial knowledge / exposure / background – desirable but not essential.
