The role of Supply Planner is to develop and maintain a finished goods supply plan for multiple manufacturing and distribution sites in the UK & EU Region through working collaboratively with customer service, demand planning, and the manufacturing team.

  • Work closely with the customer service and logistics teams in the day to day management of order fulfilment.
  • Manage the Purchase plan as it relates to supply of product from co-manufacturers and co-packers.
  • Project manage Co-packing initiatives, ensuring finished production is available on time at required customer fulfilment centre.
  • Support the scheduling of production to make best use of production resources while ensuring inventory availability for shipment to warehouses and customers.
  • Ensure POs and production MOQs are in alignment with Forecasted sales rates and all sourcing is done in line with planning policy for maximum Months of Supply on hand.
  • Work with Demand Planning to develop and maintain the distribution plan as it relates to the rolling forecast and fulfilment plan.
  • Identify and manage exceptions to the fulfilment plan.
  • Identify and manage items at risk of becoming aged or excess and implement plans to ensure there is always zero write off / expiry of product.
  • Continuously improve planning processes and techniques, across sites of differing complexity (internal and external manufacturing) to optimise service.
  • Conduct current and future inventory analysis, ensuring proper coverage in line with customer & financial requirements at each customer fulfilment centre.
  • Work with Demand Planning, Innovation and Commercial Teams to support the Innovation agenda.
  • Managing multiple relationships both internally and externally.
  • Working to tight deadlines.
  • Capable of working with cross functional teams and trade partners to deliver a healthy level of stock to fulfilment centres.
  • Measuring and improving against fill rate and Healthy Stock metrics.

The Skills you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related area / equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience ideally within FMCG environment in supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of supply planning processes.
  • Strong experience in delivering Projects within a cross functional organisation on time.
  • Understands working in an operations environment and importance of teamwork and getting jobs done on time.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience with JDA an advantage.
  • Detail oriented with extensive MS Excel and data analysis skills and strong mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of operating in complex network organisations and across boundaries.
  • High energy, high creativity but ability to work through the basics too.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Strong motivational skills and ambition.
