The Shopper & Trade Marketing Executive will play a key role in delivering best‑in‑class activation across Holland & Barrett, Gyms, and High Street customers. This role partners closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to translate brand and category strategies into compelling, insight‑led retail execution that drives visibility, conversion, and sustainable growth. The role sits at the centre of Sales, Category, and Brand teams, supporting day‑to‑day activation delivery while helping to embed trade marketing excellence into the UK business.

Responsibilities

  • Shopper & Customer Activation
    • Develop and execute shopper‑led activation plans across Holland & Barrett, Gyms, and High Street accounts.
    • Adapt brand toolkits into customer‑specific activation assets, POS solutions, and digital content.
    • Ensure all touchpoints reflect brand guidelines while meeting retailer requirements.
    • Partner with Sales to support sell‑in of activation plans and NPD launches.
  • Trade Marketing Planning & Delivery
    • Support the development of the annual and quarterly customer activation calendars.
    • Lead the execution of in‑store and online visibility initiatives, including POS, feature space, sampling activations, and gym outreach via our agency.
    • Track activation performance and support the creation of post‑campaign reviews and ROI analysis.
  • Customer Partnership & Cross‑Functional Support
    • Work closely with NAMs to prepare retailer presentations, activation stories, and sell‑in decks.
    • Collaborate with brand, category, and digital teams to ensure alignment on messaging, strategy, and performance KPIs.
    • Build strong relationships with retailer marketing contacts where appropriate (subject to Sales lead).
    • Support NPD sell‑in with activation plans, launch POS, merchandising briefs, and digital content packs.
    • Ensure all launch activity is delivered on time, accurate, and aligned with retailer windows and range reviews.
    • Support digital shelf excellence across H&B, High Street.com (content accuracy, SEO titles, imagery, compliance).
    • Coordinate digital campaigns where applicable, measuring uplift in visibility and conversion.
  • Budget, Process & Governance
    • Support budget tracking for shopper and activation spend within the remit of assigned customers.
    • Ensure all activities follow agreed trade marketing processes and promotional guideline standards.
    • Maintain internal documentation including trackers, calendars, and creative asset archives.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Strong understanding of the retail environment—ideally including H&B, speciality retail, or High Street.
  • Highly organised with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced commercial environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to create compelling customer presentations and activation stories.
  • Experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or Retail Activation (in FMCG, Retail, or Health & Wellness).
  • Experience supporting Gym/Gym chain partners or specialist retail channels.
  • Exposure to digital retail media, digital shelf optimisation or ecommerce activation.
