The Opportunity

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is a key role within the business, supporting the management of outstanding balances, maintaining strong cashflow, and building effective relationships with clients, leaseholders, and internal teams. The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring that service charge and property related payments are collected promptly and professionally, while supporting the wider accounts function.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the collection of outstanding debts across a residential property portfolio
  • Chasing overdue payments by telephone, email, and written correspondence
  • Maintaining accurate records of debtor activity and payment agreements
  • Liaising with leaseholders, clients, and managing agents to resolve account queries
  • Issuing reminders, statements, and final notices in line with company procedure
  • Supporting the accounts team with service charge and arrears reporting
  • Escalating long term arrears cases where required
  • Assisting with month end debt reporting and cashflow forecasting
  • Ensuring a professional, customer focused approach at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal confidently with customers
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
  • Experience within property management, service charges, or a similar environment is beneficial
  • Competent IT skills including Excel and finance systems
