To provide all the necessary skills to facilitate public engagement for allowing ordinary people in the street to re-discover their inner creativity. Everyone is an Artist. Art starts anywhere. Art starts everywhere.
GLAD The Artist loves to surprise people when they least expect it, and encourage them to engage in a little creativity. The Outsider artist will typically turn up; Unexpected, Unannounced and Uninhibited to allow creativity and a little chaos to brew. Typically events where crowds have gathered for a spectacle. Unknowingly spectators become participants in a collective creative expression of what it is to be alive at one moment in time.
This is a fixed price contract of £500 for a 7 hour day. All travel expenses will be reimbursed for receipts provided. Free lunch is provided on site by GLAD The Artist courtesy of a local restaurant of your choice.
You MUST be available for all 3 dates being considered for staging this event. You MUST be comfortable with being filmed and your activities broadcast live to a global audience. Please confirm you are available from 11:00am to 18:00 on ALL of the following dates:
- Fri 25 April 2025
- Sat 26 April 2025
- Sun 27 April 2025
You will be informed of the date the project will take place 48 hrs before.
Filming/Live Broadcast Schedule:
- 11:00 - 11:15 Arrival at venue
- 11:15 - 13:00 Help prepare materials, brushes and rehearse for public engagement
- 13:00 - 14:00 Lunch in the field - chatting with the crowd to build anticipation for the main event
- 14:00 - 17:00 Initiate three hours of public engagement making art/re-discovering creativity
- 17:00 - 18:00 WRAP PARTY - 'Tea and Medals' for all participants who helped GladArtWorks team produce a unique one-off piece of art imbued with history. Meat, vegetarian, and vegan wraps will be available at the Tea and Medals wind-down.
