We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Plater/Fitter to join our team in Washington. You will be based in the workshop with opportunity to work offshore/onsite.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of high-quality fabrication and maintenance work across heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and associated pipework. The role involves carrying out precise fabrication, assembly, and repair activities in line with engineering drawings, quality standards, and HSE procedures. Working with a range of materials and complex specifications, the individual will contribute to the efficient operation of the workshop through technical skill, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Accountability
- Responsible for stripping and re-assembly of heat exchangers and pipework for maintenance
- To undertake the fabrication of pressure vessels of various diameters and thickness between 10 and 80mm
- Carry out fabrication on pipework as per engineering drawings with tight tolerances
- To undertake work utilizing different materials including stainless steel, duplex, super duplex and carbon steel
- Carry out general workshop day to days tasks as and when required
- Adhere to all workshop HSE and quality procedures
- To undertake work independently and as part of the team
Requirements
- Time served with a Level 3 qualification in welding and fabrication
- Experience working in a medium to heavy fabrication background
- Be able to interpret and read engineering drawings with a good understanding
- Demonstrate an excellent attitude towards company HSE and Quality
- Heat exchanger and pressure vessel experience
- Forklift truck qualification preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn from others and share best practice
- Confident to engage with all levels of the business
