Enable Scalable Application Platforms in Azure. We’re seeking a contract Azure Platform Architect to design and deliver developer-focused, application-ready platforms built on AKS and Terraform. Working within a regulated financial environment, you'll play a key role in enabling efficient, reliable, and compliant software delivery across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve Azure-based platforms to support containerized application delivery via AKS.
- Define Terraform-based platform modules that enable consistent, reusable provisioning patterns.
- Design solutions with a focus on developer experience, service onboarding, and environment consistency.
- Support end-to-end SDLC integration, including CI/CD, configuration management, and progressive delivery.
- Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, and governance functions to align with enterprise delivery standards.
- Provide technical guidance on platform adoption, service templates, and deployment best practices.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience architecting on AKS, including workload patterns, autoscaling, and multi-tenant design.
- Proficient in Terraform for modular, scalable platform provisioning.
- Deep understanding of application delivery pipelines, with solid grounding in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Familiarity with service discovery, ingress design, and runtime observability.
- Experience supporting platforms in regulated environments (e.g. finance, insurance, healthcare).
- Strong communicator able to bridge platform capabilities with application team needs.
