Are you technically minded with a passion for sustainability? We’re looking for a proactive individual to join our team, supporting our innovative products and driving our environmental initiatives. The main purpose of this role is to support the Technical and Compliance Manager in strengthening GL’s sustainability and product compliance function, while contributing to the ongoing development of our environmental performance across the business. The role will combine technical support, data management and commercial responsiveness to help drive continuous improvement in how our products are assessed, documented and positioned from a sustainability perspective.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

  • Prepare and maintain Product Embodied Carbon reports, assessing emissions across the full product life cycle (raw materials, manufacturing, transport, use, end-of-life)
  • Prepare reports for sustainability audits and aid in certifications (ISO, LCA’s etc.)
  • Research and keep up to date with changes in product legislation and building regulations
  • Assist in tracking and reporting progress against carbon reduction targets and Science Based Targets
  • Support the development and implementation of companywide sustainability goals
  • Administrative support, through maintaining product information: datasheets, instruction manuals and technical files for products
  • Contribute to internal training materials to improve sustainability knowledge across the business

Ideal to grow into

  • Respond to technical product and sustainability enquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
  • Interpret technical documentation (datasheets, LCAs, EPDs, certifications) to support customer and internal queries

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualifications and above
