This role will see you working across a number of manufacturing capabilities at our Filton site, leading our reactive and pre planned maintenance initiatives.
As our maintenance teams run a 24/7 operation you will need to have a flexible approach to ensuring you are visible to night shift teams, with regular meeting with them early in their shifts.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Manage a team delivering 24/7 maintenance across CNC machines and process equipment including driving daily management process (Tier boards).
- Ensure PPM's are completed on time while supporting with operational requirements.
- Drive asset uptime and reliability through tactical and strategic activities while improving key KPI's (Uptime, MTTR, MTBF & availability).
- Drive HSE culture and ensure all safety and compliance requirements are met.
- Support quality and manufacturing engineering in delivering right first time components.
- Collect and analyse data to support continuous improvement activities.
- Manage financial budget to maximise value.
- Manage contractors and ensure services are delivered in line with expectations.
- Planning and management of maintenance and overhauls.
- Drive TPM.
- Support/Lead Asset Management & Reliability Team.
- What You'll Bring
- Essential
- Leadership experience of multi disciplined teams.
- Technical degree or apprenticeship with 10+ yrs of experience.
- Proven track record of leadership.
- Strong analytical, IT and communication skills.
- History of driving problem solving with effective implementation of root cause countermeasures.
- Ability to work across functions driving projects and improvements.
- History of engineering development and/or implementation of new methods of maintenance.
- Manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Contractor Management experience.
- Experience of using CMMS systems.

At our GKN Filton site, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.
