Job Summary: Based in our thriving facilities here in East Cowes, and reporting into the Finance Manager, the Accounting Administrator will be part of a small, tight-knit team offering financial operations support to the Business. They will specifically act as the Treasurer, responsible for all banking-related responsibilities, and supporting the essential cash forecasting of the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of cash (receipts and payments) for all companies
  • Receipts, including daily posting of cash receipts across 3 Reporting Units and the posting of Proforma receipts to allow release of goods (possibly AOG)
  • Payments, including weekly GBP payment run (ensuring all payments have been authorised appropriately), fortnightly EUR/USD payment run (ensuring all payments have been authorised appropriately), one-off payments as required (possibly outside of normal working hours), uploading of payroll which includes sensitive data, monthly Engineering payment run.
  • Weekly reporting of aged debt and management of actions to ensure payments are being chased
  • Posting of FX hedging entries, with the ability to check whether they look sensible
  • Preparing weekly SRO cash forecast, including foreign currency
  • Processing expenses on Concur and being main point of contact for any queries – ensuring Travel & Expenses policy is followed
  • Bank of America reconciliation of expenses to Direct Debit
  • Preparing bank account reconciliations
  • Involvement in any Business Improvement initiatives to improve the Treasury process
  • Blackline balance sheet reconciliations

Job Qualifications: Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience gained in a similarly complex accounting role
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion within strict deadlines
  • Trustworthy, discreet and reliable as data will contain sensitive information
  • Flexibility around working hours especially at month-end/year-end
  • Strong, friendly communication skills, and a focus on customer service excellence; Team player
  • Finance qualifications would be beneficial, but experience and competency are more important
