As a Shop Floor Scheduler, you’ll join the supply chain team overseeing the scheduling activities across the production area. This includes the management of visual systems to communicate/monitor the sequence of production orders, ensuring the availability of resources (tooling, raw material, etc.), creating and maintaining the optimal production sequence.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring the manufacturing output/performance daily against the schedule; challenging and understanding whenever performance differs from standard.
- Monitoring Stock cover daily in order to avoid Stock outs as well as overstocks by adjusting the performance sequence if possible, or raising the issue with the Master Scheduler.
- Maximising shared manufacturing resource output/utilisation, while ensuring full coherence with MPS product mix, volumes and required availability dates.
- Proactively communicate/escalate to the Master Scheduler/Area management any potential production execution issues/constraints to trigger preventive actions against potential supply failure.
- Weekly track, challenge and report Schedule Adherence with reasons for nonconformity to Production Area Management and Master Schedule.
Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- Essential: Good standard of secondary education to include GCSE (or equivalent) grade C/level 4 or above in Maths.
- Similar experience gained in a manufacturing environment, including proficiency in Daily Scheduling & Completion, Forecasting & Demand Planning, SIOP / MPS / MRP, Master Data Management, Inventory Management, Internal Flow & Warehousing etc.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Desirable: Material Requirement Planning knowledge within an ERP based business.
- Experience within the Aerospace industry.
- Understanding of Health and safety, quality, traceability and lean principles within a production environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
