Edinburgh Architect/Architectural Technician/Project Manager required for city centre development company. We are seeking an experienced Architect/Architectural Technician/Project Manager to join a long-established commercial development company with a strong track record of delivering major projects across the UK.
The role will focus on the technical and construction delivery of a varied portfolio of retail, heritage and industrial projects, many of which are approaching or entering the construction phase. You will play a key role from post-planning through to completion, working closely with internal teams, consultants and contractors.
The successful candidate will manage the design and construction process, ensuring projects are technically robust, commercially controlled and delivered safely and efficiently. Experience of a range of procurement routes, including Construction Management, is essential.
Essential Experience & Skills- Strong project management skills with sound technical and design understanding
- Proven experience delivering construction projects to completion
- Experience acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015
- Good working knowledge of Scottish Building Standards and statutory approvals
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft 365
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Manage design and construction from post-planning to completion
- Develop and maintain programmes, budgets and work plans
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and statutory bodies
- Review technical design information, specifications and contracts
- Undertake regular site inspections
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements
- Monitor costs, approve valuations and manage variations
