Gizmo is a startup on a mission to make learning so easy and fun that anyone can learn anything. We aim to help 1 billion people learn by building Duolingo for Anything - a gamified way of learning anything! We are an early stage, well-funded startup that has grown 10X in the last year, with a million users a month. We now need a sharp operator to keep the rocket stable. You’ll be our first Ops hire, working closely with the founders to build the foundations for people, finance, and office operations that enable our product and engineering teams to excel.
Responsibilities
- People Ops: manage recruiting pipelines, onboarding, payroll, contracts, and compliance
- Strategy: develop analytics and dashboards to guide company direction
- Finance: oversee bookkeeping, invoices, expenses, FP&A, and cash-flow forecasting; liaise with external accountants and investors
- Process & Compliance: design scalable processes, maintain policies
- Office & Equipment: manage office environment and supplies
