Electrical Supervisor

About The Role

As a Supervisor for our Electrical team, you will be responsible for managing the day‑to‑day operations and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality fault rectification, maintenance and home improvement services. This includes electrical response repairs, voids, installations, electrical testing and complaints.

You will work collaboratively within and across the business and be the first point of contact for electrical‑related queries for our customers. You will also manage third‑party suppliers and contractors to deliver outcomes for our customers. You will deliver end‑to‑end people management – ensuring we have the right people, in the right place, doing the right job, to ensure that we exceed our customers\’ expectations every day.

This role is field based across the Penzance area – ideally you will be based within a 30 minute commute of this area, and is being offered on a full‑time, permanent basis working 40 hours per week.

About The Candidate

To be successful you will have the essential skills and experience for a Level 2 role and the following role‑specific skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience of managing teams in a domestic environment.
  • Management of external contractors.
  • Experience of working within tenanted properties.
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads.
  • Proven experience analysing and diagnosing complex problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Working knowledge of application of health and safety legislation.
  • Proven ability to effectively recruit, manage and develop colleagues.
  • Understanding of KPIs.
  • Good communication skills including clear written and spoken English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills.
  • Ability to extract and interrogate data from computer systems.
  • Good level of PC literacy – able to use and update computerised devices (including handheld smartphone or Tablet PC).
  • Quotation for works.
  • Full, Manual UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications – Essential

  • Core apprenticeship 2360 parts 1 & 2 or equivalent (NVQ 3, City and Guilds).
  • Test and Inspect (2391 or equivalent).
  • AM2 (Achievement Measurement Test).
  • 18th Edition (BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations).

Desirable

  • EV – Electrical Vehicle Charging Points (obtained within the last 5 years)
  • PV – Photovoltaic (obtained within the last 5 years)
  • EESS – Electrical Energy Storage Systems (obtained within the last 5 years)
  • Micro Wind Turbines (obtained within the last 5 years)
  • CIH Level 3 in Housing Maintenance and Asset Management
