This is a paid freelance, remote position. GiveMeSport is one of the UK’s leading sports media brands, delivering engaging news, analysis, and features across football, basketball, combat sports, and more to millions of fans each month. As part of the Valnet Publishing Group, GiveMeSport is expanding its coverage of professional wrestling and is seeking experienced and passionate WWE Writers to produce high-quality, original content centered on WWE — including event analysis, storyline breakdowns, and in-depth features on superstars and trends shaping the wrestling world.
Your Responsibilities:
- Contribute a minimum of 4 WWE-focused articles per week, including opinion pieces, event recaps, rankings, and editorial features.
- Cover the latest developments in WWE programming, including Raw, SmackDown, and Premium Live Events.
- Pitch and produce engaging, original stories that appeal to both hardcore wrestling fans and general sports audiences.
- Write accurate, insightful, and entertaining content under tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with editors and implement feedback effectively.
- Follow GiveMeSport’s editorial style guide and maintain the brand’s journalistic standards.

Experience and Skills:
- Educational background in journalism, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience writing about professional wrestling, combat sports, or entertainment media.
- Deep knowledge of WWE storylines, superstars, and brand history, as well as awareness of current wrestling trends.
- Ability to craft fast, opinion-driven, and analytical content with an engaging tone.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and traffic-focused content strategy.
