In this Operations Executive role, you will be joining a fast-growing and design-led homeware and interiors start-up based in Central London. Since launching at the end of 2025, the business has rapidly established itself within the UK retail market, already partnering with major retailers including Tesco, Next, Dunelm and Oliver Bonas. With ambitious growth plans and a strong entrepreneurial culture, the company is now focused on building the systems, processes, and team needed to support its next stage of expansion. In this Operations Executive role, you will take ownership across a broad range of operational responsibilities, supporting the full supply chain from order placement and production management through to quality control, supplier communication, and customer coordination. Working directly alongside the Founder and leadership team, you will help ensure products are delivered efficiently and on time while contributing to the development of scalable systems and processes as the business grows. Key responsibilities:

  • Managing communication between customers and overseas suppliers to ensure orders and requests are actioned efficiently
  • Monitoring production timelines and resolving operational issues to ensure products are delivered on schedule
  • Supporting customer requests for operational data, reporting, and product information
  • Inputting and managing product and order data across internal and customer systems
  • Reviewing weekly order reports and reconciling data using Excel functions including VLOOKUPs and index matches
  • Supporting product testing and compliance processes to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Acting as the key operational contact for external testing and compliance consultants
  • Managing quality control processes, including reviewing inspections and escalating any product quality concerns
  • Coordinating packaging and labelling requirements with overseas suppliers
  • Creating and updating artwork and label information using Adobe Illustrator
  • Presenting operational updates and reporting within weekly team meetings
  • Supporting the adoption of AI tools and process automation across operational workflows
  • Contributing ideas for process improvements and supporting the implementation of new systems and technologies
  • Assisting with the development and scaling of operational systems, including ERP and order management platforms
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office and contributing to a collaborative team culture

Job requirements:

  • Graduate calibre or 1-2 years' experience within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong Excel skills, including confidence using VLOOKUPs, index matches, and managing large data sets
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
  • Genuine interest in AI tools, process optimisation, and operational efficiency
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced start-up environment with evolving priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively while also taking ownership and initiative

Desirable:

  • Experience working with suppliers or within the UK retail market
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Unleashed
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, or similar platforms within a work environment
