As a Head of Technical Perfumery UK, you will play a pivotal role in our Fragrance Ingredients Management (FIM) team, leading our U.K. based group of experts and reporting directly to the global Head of FIM. Your expertise will be instrumental in:
- Industrialising and maintaining fragrance formulations that not only meet our high standards but also push the boundaries of innovation, while adeptly solving formulation challenges as they arise.
- Ensuring business continuity and achieving quality and service level objectives for our Ashford production site, all while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Partnering with key stakeholders within the Fine Fragrances operations excellence team to drive impactful solutions and enhance our overall performance.
Your Role in Technical Expertise and Business Partnership
In this dynamic position, you will:
- Rework and refine Givaudan portfolio fragrances across all end-uses, with a special emphasis on Fine Fragrance, ensuring they resonate with our customers and consumers alike.
- Develop innovative fragrance ingredient alternatives that comply with evolving regulations, showcasing your ability to navigate complex challenges.
- Collaborate with Quality Control on ingredient management, particularly for Fine Fragrance, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Share your technical perfumery insights with the Givaudan Global Perfumers community, fostering a spirit of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and ingredient movements to ensure Givaudan remains at the forefront of fragrance innovation.
- Partner with global functions to study and implement technical solutions that enhance our processes and product offerings.
- Support the creative perfumery team on product service and technical projects, contributing your expertise to elevate our fragrance creations.

A Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related discipline (Master of Science preferred).
10-15+ years of perfumery experience across categories, working with local and international customers.
A strong customer service focus that drives your approach to fragrance development.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global team.
An objective-driven and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for problem-solving.
A technical expert in ingredients and formulation, able to provide insightful recommendations that enhance our offerings.
The capability to leverage your knowledge of ingredients (quality), formulation (stability), customer specifications, supply chain, operations (processes), and regulatory aspects to define innovative solutions that improve our processes.
Proficiency in English is essential, and experience abroad is welcomed.
