Being a Maintenance Technician, you will be a part of the Sense Colour Maintenance team working on-site in Overseal, Derbyshire and reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Overseal site is a manufacturer of Food Ingredients. You will perform mechanical and some electrical repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of equipment promptly to minimise changes to site operations, all within your capabilities following the site training matrix. The hours are 40 per week on a shift rota covering the hours 6am to 10pm. (Wk 1 6-2, Wk2 8-4, Wk3 6-2, Wk4 2-10)
You will:
- Maintain a CMMS planned preventative maintenance system, SAP
- Manage routine, preventative and planned maintenance of the plant and equipment.
- Work with contractors on projects and maintaining equipment
- Provide technical support/input to projects
- Respond to emergency breakdowns including finding and fixing faults
- Perform modifications and installations
- Provide on call cover and work overtime when requested
You have:
- Served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
- Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent qualification
- Some knowledge of electrical systems including control systems or mechanical systems if electrically qualified
- Mechanical Electrical repairs and fault finding skills
- Experience of welding and fabrication
- Some Electrical knowledge
- Be conversant with Health and Safety requirements and to perform tasks under current legislation
- Use hand power tools
