Overview
As an EHS Specialist at Givaudan, you support daily EHS activities under the EHS Manager and help promote a strong safety culture across the organization. You will lead training, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments to minimize hazards and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves coordinating with site teams, authorities, and EHS committees to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Conduct EHS orientation and training for new employees and contractors
- Facilitate toolbox talks and deliver EHS training sessions
- Assist in developing EHS procedures and track implementation
- Organize site safety inspections and report findings with corrective actions
- Follow up audit findings and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
- Coordinate EHS committee meetings and track actions
- Maintain liaison with authorities on EHS matters and report concerns
- Carry out incident investigations and propose corrective actions
- Assist with risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Educate and monitor personnel on safe work procedures
- Execute and track site EHS training compliance calendar
- Monitor health and safety at designated locations
- Conduct periodic inspections to detect hazards and non-compliant practices
Key requirements
- University degree in chemistry, Engineering, EHS or related field
- NEBOSH or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years in chemical/manufacturing industry
- 5+ years in the EHS specialization
- Fluent English; local language essential
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- 8-10 other technical competencies relevant to EHS specialization
