As a Development Technologist, you will support the execution of application projects as required to support customer and market needs. You will work closely with sales, marketing and flavour creation to deliver UK Growth in line with our Strategy and drive delivery of relevant business objectives. You will be based in Milton Keynes.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Execute daily brief-related tasks and apply knowledge to deliver concept development, applications, evaluations and customer requirements across multiple end products.
- Actively maintain the performance data for our products through evaluation in finished product and capture relevant details in appropriate systems.
- Act as a key point of contact for our selected customers and develop relationships that enable better execution of projects to drive our growth aspirations.
- Prepare and present product related technical presentations, including translating market trends into innovative concept demos for key customers.
- Support customer visits and product presentations when required.
- Provide technical input in key business meetings such as segment meetings.
- Consistently participate as a local champion for new technologies.
- Communicate effectively through verbal and written platforms with both customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrate technical problem-solving skills and understanding of how to adjust.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized laboratory environment in accordance with EH&S policies and hold others accountable for following these guidelines.
Your professional profile includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of selected food applications, ingredients, and processes with practical experience of customers’ food manufacturing environment (desired).
- Basic understanding of many of the flavour reactions/interactions in common food products.
- Project management skills and the ability to successfully lead selected customer projects.
- Ability to effectively participate on customer projects, including customer visits.
- Basic technical problem-solving skills, specifically in the area of applications.
- Ability to translate market trends into innovative products for selected customers.
- Passion, determination, positivity, challenge with heart & soul.
