Application Technician Savoury and Snacks
As an Application Technician, you will work together with the Snack Creators and Savoury Application Team to prepare flavour, seasoning, stocks and paste samples following established procedures and guidelines. This is whilst maintaining the raw material and flavour sample inventories. You will ensure effective support is provided to maintain smooth running of the labs, according to business goals and EHS policies.
Core responsibilities
- Prepare stock, pastes and seasoning samples as requested for customer briefs, application needs, performance testing, QC standards and physical testing
- Assist in applying seasonings, pastes and stocks to food products when required
- Maintain organised and updated stock of raw materials / flavours / snacks bases in the labs
- Responsible for shipping samples
- Maintain all required formula records and brief documentation in company database software
- Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment in accordance with EHS guidelines and good laboratory practices

Your professional profile:
- A level/s in food science or chemistry or biology or physics or maths
- Or Bachelor’s Degree in food science or chemistry or biology or physics or maths
- Plus 1 years’ experience in a food applications lab, production, or related area such as quality control (1 year degree placement experience is accepted)
- Demonstrable focus on delivering to customers
- Competent use of Microsoft word and excel and ability to learn new software programmes
- Ability to follow formulations, blend with speed and accuracy
- Knowledge of EHS and ability to be EHS ambassador for the department
