An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Fragrance & Beauty Regulatory Affairs and Product Safety (RAPS) team, in the role of Regulatory Specialist. Set within the RAPS Customer Relations team based out of our offices in Ashford, Kent (Great Britain), your primary responsibility will be to manage customers’ accounts, providing appropriate regulatory support on customers’ requirements for the fragrance business.

Our wider global RAPS team works collectively towards our overall purpose: to ensure that our products are safe for the consumer and the environment, through industry leadership in compliance and advocacy solutions that enable growth for Givaudan and our customers.

In this exciting role, you will:

  • Manage a portfolio of customers and contribute, through compliance and regulatory activities, to the lifecycle of fragrance creations within Givaudan.
  • Interact with globally dispersed functional teams within Givaudan to interpret compliance as required.
  • Identify early compliance issues that may improve business, demonstrating the ability to critically assess the level of impact and provide input on mitigation strategies.
  • Represent Givaudan at local industry trade associations to provide positions on issues, influencing partners for the benefit of upcoming regulations and issue management.

Requirements and Competencies

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in another European language is welcomed.
  • University or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or other relevant field.
  • Experience in a regulatory field.
  • Experience with main product category activities and general market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory systems and databases, as well as advanced MS Office experience.
  • Knowledge of industry and customer regulatory requirements, growing trends, and regulatory legislation.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory issues in the cosmetic, chemicals and fragrances fields.
  • Some travel may be required to collaborate with the regulatory team in Europe.
