A highly visible and customer‑facing position within the Professional Services organization and the wider Customer Success team. The Program Manager oversees customer programs and a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery of client projects, including long‑term strategy, while providing strategic guidance to both the team and customers. The role reports to the Regional Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of multi‑workstream professional services engagements with some of the largest and most strategic customers.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including executive leaders, counterpart program/project managers, engineering, development, and security teams.
  • Develop a delivery methodology that leverages agile practices and project‑management best practices, and communicate its use to key stakeholders.
  • Build and continuously communicate the Program Roadmap, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations to gain approval of project milestones.
  • Define program strategy, including program justification, benefits, scope, timeline, schedule, resources (teams, PMs, PSEs, TAs, etc.), and stakeholder identification.
  • Create a program‑level RACI chart.
  • Define program success criteria.
  • Create a program‑level Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for all projects.
  • Develop communication plans between projects and stakeholders.
  • Define the program escalation path.
  • Work closely with Engagement Managers to define workstreams when scoping larger customer programs and review proposals or Statements of Work prior to signature.
  • Assist Regional Delivery Managers in creating and executing quarterly OKRs that drive optimization of all Project Manager processes.
  • Proficiency with forecasting and reporting metrics.
  • Lead Project Management program‑level meetings, including the Weekly PM meeting.
  • Formulate, organize, monitor, and manage interconnected projects.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for long‑term projects.
  • Develop long‑term plans in collaboration with customers.
  • Partner with Engagement Managers and Architects to develop long‑term plans supporting customer adoption and transformation.

Qualifications

  • GitLab Project Management Certification within 2 months of the role.
